From Little Red Riding Hood’s basket … to the universal

Moments of educational drama with 10-year-old children

Working with the story of Little Red Riding Hood, we explore the moment when the girl takes the basket and steps out of her house, ready to enter the forest alone for the first time.One child improvises, showing Little Red Riding Hood standing on the threshold, holding the basket close to her chest, and tapping it repeatedly against herself. Her gaze is fixed straight ahead, into the forest.

Teacher: What did you notice here?
Child 1: She’s tapping the basket against herself.
Teacher: Why do you think she might be doing that?
Child 2: Maybe because she doesn’t want to leave just yet.
Child 3: Maybe she’s scared to go alone, and that’s why she’s doing that.
Child 4: She’s tapping it to see if she can handle it because it’s heavy.
Child 5: So many times?
Teacher: Do you think she tapped it too many times?
Child 6: Yes, way too many times. Maybe  because she wants the other children to hear her.
Teacher: Can you tell us more about these other children? Where are they, and why would she want them to hear her?
Child 6: They’re in the forest by themselves. She’s tapping so they’ll hear her.
Child 7: So they’ll hear that she’s starting too.
Child 8: She wants all the children to hear her.
Child 9: That’s why she tapped it so many times. So everyone could hear her. Maybe she tapped it 190 times.

Teacher: 190 times?

Child 9: Yes,  because there are 190 countries in the world.

  • Αναγνώσεις και προγράμματα εκπαιδευτικού δράματος σχεδιασμένα πάνω σε συγκεκριμένες ανάγκες και θεματικές. Mε αφορμή μια θεματική ενότητα, έναν συγγραφέα, ένα βιβλίο, ένα ευρύτερο Project ή την προετοιμασία μιας παράστασης. Μιας συνάντησης ή μεγαλύτερης διάρκειας σε συστηματικές συναντήσεις με ομάδες παιδιών, εφήβων και ενηλίκων.

  • Fortbildungsseminare für Dramapädagogik für Erwachsene, die in verschiedenen Kontexten der formalen und non-formalen Bildung arbeiten. In der Gruppe erleben wir eine ausgewählte Geschichte und Thematik, vertiefen uns in ein Dramapädagogik-Program und die Teilnehmer üben sich dann darin, ihre eigenen Aktionen zu entwerfen, die sie in der Gruppe präsentieren und gestalten.

  • Lesungen und Dramapädagogik-Programme die auf spezifische Bedürfnisse und Themen zugeschnitten sind –
    inspiriert von einer thematischen Einheit, einem Autor, einem Buch, einem größeren Projekt oder der Vorbereitung einer Theateraufführung.
    Dies kann ein einzelnes Treffen sein oder eine Reihe systematischer Treffen mit Kinder-, Jugend- oder Erwachsenengruppen.
